Man ages 26 along with his Wife dies in a house fire
In the early hours of the morning on Saturday 21st June 2011 in Peterborough, a man and his wife were caught up in raging fire in their home. The man, John Carter aged 26 was an electrical engineer working for the company Energy Electrical Ltd. His friends and family said he was a kind, caring person with a great sense of humour and were devastated at what happened. The man initially died in hospital after suffering from third degree burns, his wife was burnt to death on the scene. The cause of the fire is not yet known, but some believed it was arson. Police investigations are taking place to resolve the matter.

New March Mayor elected
The time for change was needed, and after over a decade change has arrived. The New Major of March, Stanley Goodwin had been elected on Friday 12th Mach. He has already made a number of plans on what to improve in the town. He sees the future of March very prosperous now he is in charge. “March has been asleep for some time now, Production has slowed down quite considerably and I plan to make changes to that, new facilities and events will surely liven this town up!” a quote from the speech made by the new Major on Monday.

Man announced local hero after saving a child from a swimming pool
In the town of Wisbech at a local swimming pool on 22nd November 2010 a man, Adrian Harold committed a miraculous feat. A young girl aged 6, wondered off from her mother and fell in the deep end of the pool. The mum had no idea her child had ran off, luckily for her and the child there was a man close by in the pool. On that day the pool was close to empty, there was hardly anyone there except for a few swimmers who regularly visit. One of them was Adrian, when he saw what had happened he paced his way to the deep end and dived straight down. The child had been submerged for more than two minutes and was close to death, but Adrian came to the rescue and saved her from drowning. The man received a medal for his heroic action.

Boy arrested for possessing class A drugs in his school
Joseph Statground aged 15 has been arrested for possessing a small amount of cocaine while attending his local school, Thomas Clarkson. His Family were devastated by the news and said they had no idea he was taking or dealing drugs. “I’ve always seen him as a sweet young lad, always completing his homework, not rebelling at school. But to find out he was into drugs was a complete shock, I had no idea what so ever. I’m very ashamed of his actions” a statement by the boys mother.
